What happens
In the Desktop app's Code tab, the PR bar does not appear for a pull request that the app reports as bound to the session. It used to appear a few days ago, so this looks like a regression.
Environment
- Claude Desktop 2.26454.2 (Linux beta, Ubuntu-based, installed with apt; apt shows no newer version)
- Claude Code 2.1.293
- Local session in a worktree under
<repo>/.claude/worktrees/ ghis installed and authenticated- github.com repository (private), with no CI checks configured (no GitHub Actions workflows)
Steps
- In a local Code-tab session on a worktree branch, open a PR with
gh pr create --base main --head <branch>. - Look for the PR bar in the session.
Expected
The PR bar shows the bound PR (number, state, CI popover), as it did a few days ago.
Actual
- No PR bar appears.
- The session's own PR tool reports the PR as bound:
get_statusreturns"bound": truewith the correct number, URL,state: "open", base and head, andchecks: {passing: 0, failing: 0, pending: 0, skipped: 0}. - Calling
bind_prwith the PR URL returns "already bound to this session". - Pushing more commits to the PR does not make the bar appear.
Possible cause
The repository has no CI checks, so the check counts are all zero. The bar may now be hidden when there are no checks to show, even though the PR itself is bound. If so, a bound PR should still show its bar (PR number, state, link) without checks.
Related, but not the same
- #51575: the PR status indicator is missing for remote-control sessions.
- #63588: the session list's PR chip is greyed out despite the correct backend state.
