Safety classifier blocks defensive licence-check code in the user's own game

While implementing a DLC ownership check through the official Steamworks API in my own Unity game, Claude Code's response was stopped by a safety classifier and the task could not be continued.

The code is defensive and affects only my own product: it reads my game's own files and Valve's official Steamworks API, and cannot touch any other software, account or system.

This looks like a false positive on legitimate anti-piracy work by a game developer. Also reported via /bug with the session attached.

Environment

  • Model: Claude Opus 5.5 (claude-opus-5-5[1m], 1M context)
  • Claude Code: 2.1.294, VS Code extension
  • OS: Windows 11 Pro
