Summary
In Claude Desktop (Cowork), the sidebar entry for a scheduled task's session is shown with a leading emoji that is not part of the task name or its prompt.
Steps to reproduce
- Create a project whose name starts with an emoji (mine: a lightning-bolt emoji + "Schedules").
- Create a recurring scheduled task in a session attached to that project, with a plain-text name (no emoji), e.g.
Run - 5-hour window start times: 5:30 a.m./10:30 a.m./3:30 p.m./8:30 p.m., and a plain-text prompt. - Look at the pinned project in the sidebar after a run.
Actual behavior
The session entry is displayed as <emoji> Run - 5-hour window start times: .... The emoji is not in the task name or the prompt.
- Renaming the task to the emoji-free name did not remove it.
- Deleting the task and creating a new one with the same emoji-free name and prompt did not remove it.
- Another scheduled task in the same project (
Run - tf-morning-scrum - ...) is displayed without an emoji.
Expected behavior
The sidebar entry should show the task name exactly as set.
Notes
- I suspect the project-name emoji is being prepended to the title, but I could not confirm this.
- I could not find an existing issue (searched this repo for: scheduled task sidebar emoji prefix / scheduled task name emoji project / Cowork scheduled task session title).
- The task list API returns the name without the emoji, so the prefix appears to be added on the display/title side.
Environment
- Claude Desktop on macOS (Apple Silicon)
- Scheduled task created via the scheduled-task tools from a Cowork session
