What changed: In the Claude desktop app's Code tab, the working indicator used to show how many tokens a response was using as it ran. After a recent update it shows only an elapsed-time timer, and the token count is gone.
Why it matters: The live token count was the main way I could see what a task was costing while it ran. A timer doesn't tell me that.
Ask: Please bring the token count back next to the timer, or add a setting to show it. I checked the Code tab settings and couldn't find a way to turn it on.
Environment: Claude desktop app (Code tab), macOS, Claude Code 2.1.289.
