Escape from /btw discards typed text

Pressing Escape while composing a /btw message clears the typed text.
Expected: Escape exits /btw but preserves the text (or restores it to the prompt), since it may want to be edited before sending.
Actual: The typed text is deleted.
Platform: Linux (Debian, kernel 6.1)
