Claude in Chrome extension wont connects despite being installed, enabled, and logged in

The Claude in Chrome extension won't connect to Claude Code. It was connected and has kicked me off somehow. I get this error every time:
Browser extension is not connected. Please ensure the Claude browser extension is installed and running, and that you are logged into claude.ai with the same account as Claude Code.
What I've checked/tried:
- Extension is installed and enabled in chrome://extensions
- Logged into the extension with the same Claude account
- Confirmed correct Chrome profile is active
- Fully restarted Chrome
None of this fixed it, same error every time.
