Feature request

Claude Desktop's Settings > Usage shows real account-level usage: how much of your plan's quota (e.g. weekly Pro/Max limits) has been consumed and when it resets. This data comes from an internal Anthropic account-usage endpoint tied to the logged-in Claude.ai account.

Claude Code has no equivalent. The closest things available are:

  • /cost — only reports token/cost for the current session, estimated from API list pricing.
  • Third-party tools like ccusage — parse local session transcripts and estimate a dollar cost from API pricing.

Neither of these reflects actual plan quota consumption or reset timing, and they don't reconcile with what Desktop shows.

When logged into Claude Code via a Claude.ai account (Pro/Max subscription auth, as opposed to a separate API key), the CLI authenticates with the same account credentials Desktop uses. It seems technically feasible for Claude Code to surface the same account-level usage/quota data that powers Desktop's Settings > Usage page — this looks like a missing feature rather than an architectural limitation.

Request

Add a way to view real account/subscription usage quota and reset time from within Claude Code (e.g. a /usage command or similar), for users authenticated via Claude.ai account login.
