What's Wrong?

Environment: Claude Code on the web (claude.ai/code), cloud session, browser.

What happened

I asked how to stop the confirmation prompts. The documentation the assistant
can read in-session covers GitHub access, connectors, environment
secrets/network/dependencies/setup script, session resources and remote
control. It has no page on permission modes or on how a user changes them.

Lacking that, the assistant first offered to add an allow rule to the
project's .claude/settings.json. According to the public docs (looked up
separately, outside the session) cloud sessions do not read project settings
for this, so the offered fix could not work. The real control, the mode
dropdown next to the prompt box (Accept edits / Plan / Auto), had to be found
through an external docs lookup.

Expected

An in-session documentation page for the assistant covering permission modes
as shown in the web UI, what each mode covers (including MCP tools) and where
a user changes it, so the assistant does not suggest options that do not
exist or do not apply to cloud sessions.

Related: #97966 (single source of truth for repository permissions),
#97973 (GitHub client and scope documentation gaps).
