iOS Simulator tool can't detect booted devices — Xcode 27 renamed Simulator.app to DeviceHub.app

What's Wrong?

Summary

The Claude iOS Simulator tool reports "no simulators could be found" /
"No booted simulator named '<device>'" even when a simulator is genuinely
booted and visible in the simulator UI.

Root cause

Xcode 27.0 (build 24A5390f, runtime iOS 27.0 build 24A434, also tested
with iOS 26.5 runtime 23F77) no longer ships the classic Simulator.app.
It's been replaced by DeviceHub.app:

• Path: /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Applications/DeviceHub.app
• Bundle ID: com.apple.dt.Devices
• Executable: DevicesTrampoline

xcrun simctl boot <device> and xcrun simctl list devices booted both
correctly report the device as Booted, and opening DeviceHub.app shows it
running. But the Claude iOS Simulator MCP tool's attach/launch actions
still fail, suggesting it's specifically checking for the old
Simulator.app process/bundle rather than DeviceHub.app.

What Should Happen?

Expected

The tool should detect DeviceHub.app as a valid simulator host (in
addition to or instead of Simulator.app) on Xcode versions where it's
present.

2. In Claude Code, ask it to run/attach to an iOS simulator.
3. Tool reports no simulators found, even after booting one via xcrun simctl boot.
