[BUG] Claude Desktop / Cowork window does not follow Windows 11 virtual desktops
Preflight Checklist
- [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
- [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
- [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code
What's Wrong?
When Claude Desktop (Cowork) is opened on Virtual Desktop 1, the window does not follow or appear on other virtual desktops. Attempting to move it via Win+Tab right-click does not show the "Move to" or "Show on all desktops" options.
Steps to reproduce:
Open Claude Desktop with Cowork on Virtual Desktop 1
Switch to Virtual Desktop 2
Claude Desktop is not visible or accessible from Virtual Desktop 2
Running Get-Process | Where-Object {$_.MainWindowTitle -like "Claude"} from Virtual Desktop 2 returns no results, confirming the window is not visible across desktops
Expected behavior: Claude Desktop should be accessible from all virtual desktops, or provide an option to pin it to all desktops.
Environment:
Windows 11 Pro
Lenovo T14
What Should Happen?
Claude Desktop (Cowork) window should be visible and accessible from all Windows 11 virtual desktops, or provide an option to pin it to all desktops. Currently the window is locked to the virtual desktop where it was originally opened.
