[BUG] claude.ai connectors missing in Claude Code: /v1/mcp_servers returns 2 of ~20 connected (since Customize/Cowork merge)

What happens

Since ~2026-09-25/26, GET https://api.anthropic.com/v1/mcp_servers returns only 2 servers for my Max account, while claude.ai → Customize → Connectors → Yours shows ~20 connectors as Connected (Granola, Clay, Gmail, Google Calendar, HubSpot, Slack, Figma, Canva, etc.). Claude Code therefore loads only 2 claude.ai connectors; all the others silently disappear from claude mcp list and ToolSearch. There is no error, so the agent just reports the tools as "not connected".

This started around the same time claude.ai showed "Connectors have moved to Customize" and "Cowork and chat have merged".

Evidence

  • Debug log 2026-09-21: [claudeai-mcp] Fetched 23 servers
  • Debug log 2026-09-26: [claudeai-mcp] Fetching from https://api.anthropic.com/v1/mcp_servers?limit=1000&include_additional_installs=true → Fetched 2 servers
  • Same result with 2.1.282 and 2.1.283, and calling the endpoint directly with the Claude Code OAuth token, with or without include_additional_installs=true: 2 servers (Claude Docs, Notion). So it looks server-side, not a CLI regression.
  • claude auth status: same account and org as before; subscription max.

Repro

  1. Have several directory connectors connected in claude.ai (Customize → Connectors → Yours shows "Connected").
  2. claude --debug claudeai-mcp -p ok --max-turns 1
  3. Check the debug file: Fetched N servers is far below the number connected; claude mcp list is missing them.

Workaround

Add the vendor's remote MCP directly (claude mcp add --scope user --transport http granola https://mcp.granola.ai/mcp) and authenticate via /mcp.

Environment

Claude Code 2.1.283, macOS 26 (Darwin 25.6.0), claude.ai login (Max).
