Add from GitHub attaches repo, but no GitHub connector available to toggle in chat

What were you trying to do?

Link a private repo to a chat via + → "Add from GitHub" so Claude could read and reference the code while I work. The dialog says Claude reads it through the GitHub connector when it needs it.

What happened instead?

The repo attaches, but Claude can't read it. Claude reports no GitHub tools available in the chat.

• Settings → Connectors → Yours shows "GitHub Integration" as connected (Individual auth).
• The in-chat + → Connectors submenu has no GitHub toggle. Only my other connectors appear.
• Searching "github" under Connectors → Discover returns no GitHub connector, only unrelated results.
• Fetching the repo URL directly also fails (private repo).

So "Add from GitHub" lets you attach a repo, but no connector exists to actually read it in chat.
