VS Code Plugin: Error: Claude Code process terminated by signal SIGABRT

What Should Happen?

Claude Code process crashes immediately with SIGABRT signal on startup.

Environment

  • Claude Code Version: 2.0.21
  • VSCode Version: 1.105.0
  • OS: macOS 11.5.2 (Big Sur, Darwin 20.6.0)

## Description
Claude Code process crashes immediately with SIGABRT signal on startup.

## Steps to Reproduce

  1. Install Claude Code 2.0.21
  2. Open VSCode
  3. Try to use Claude Code
  4. Process terminates with: Error: Claude Code process terminated by signal SIGABRT

## Workaround
Downgrading to version 2.0.9 resolves the issue completely.

## Additional Context
This appears to be a regression introduced between v2.0.9 and v2.0.21
