Description
Renamed a session and moved it to a sidebar group using the Code tab's session-management MCP tools (set_session_title, move_sessions).
- Both calls returned success.
- Repeated
get_session/list_sessionscalls (checked multiple times, including after the report below) confirmed the backend has the correct new title and group. - The Code tab sidebar continued to show the old title after the change, after a manual reload, and after fully quitting and reopening the desktop app.
Expected behavior
Sidebar title/group should reflect the backend session state after a rename/move, and definitely after a full app restart.
Actual behavior
Sidebar keeps showing the stale title/group even after restart, while server-side reads (get_session/list_sessions) confirm the update took effect. This points to the client not re-reading the updated title/group on load for this session, rather than a propagation delay.
Environment
- Claude Code desktop app (Code tab)
- macOS (Darwin 27.0.0)
