Problem Statement

I’m evaluating Claude Code programmatically and found the --p flag very useful.
Before I proceed, I’d like to confirm:

Does running Claude Code with --p degrade completion quality or coverage in any way?

When --p is used, are any capabilities limited—for example, searching for additional context via built-in tools (e.g., grep, file readers), or accessing project files beyond the provided input?

Thanks for clarifying!
