[Feature Request] Improve temp file handling to avoid requiring full disk access on macOS

Bug Description
I had to give my terminal full disk access (on MacOS Sequoia) to get around persistent issues reading temp files a la https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/issues/2958. I really don't like having to do this, is there a better fix?
