Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

Previously I could move the Claude Code view into the editor area (as a tab next to my files) and then use "Move into New Window" to place it on my second monitor.

Now Claude Code opens in the Secondary Side Bar, and the "Move To" context menu only offers "Primary Side Bar" and "Panel". There is no option to move it to the editor area or to a new window, so I can't put Claude Code on my second screen anymore.

What Should Happen?

Claude Code should be movable to the editor area (as an editor tab), so it can be dragged or moved into a separate VS Code window on another monitor, as it worked before.
