[Bug] Terminal freeze when audio input conflicts with response completion and sound notification

Bug Description
I was dictating w/whisper on microphone into a terminal session WHILE claude was responding to the last prompt and the dication went on for a few minutes and then (i think) the response to the prior turn completed and I have a hook to play a ding sound and that's when the terminal froze. Fortunatly I was able to do a resume against the specific sessson file.
