Description

On the Claude desktop app for Windows, clicking outside the Claude window
(on another application) does not send the Claude window to the background.
It keeps rendering above the other window instead of losing focus and going
behind it, as any normal window would.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open the Claude desktop app.
  2. Open another application (e.g. File Explorer, a browser, an editor)

positioned so it overlaps the Claude window.

  1. Click on the other application's window.

Expected behavior

The Claude window loses focus and goes behind the newly focused window.

Actual behavior

The Claude window stays on top of the other application.

Environment

  • OS: Windows 11 Pro 26200
  • Claude desktop app (Electron), version reported in local logs: 2.1.237

Notes

No "always on top" option was intentionally enabled.
