Describe the bug
The Claude Code sessions list in the Activity Bar sidebar doesn't reliably sort/refresh to reflect which session is actually most recently active. An in-progress session can sit buried below older, inactive ones. The only fix I've found is Developer: Reload Window — but per #94743, that restarts the extension host and kills any in-flight session/background work, so it's a costly workaround for what should be a cosmetic refresh.
Expected behavior
- The sidebar list re-sorts by actual recency without requiring a full window reload, or
- A lightweight "refresh list" action (icon/command) that re-syncs the sidebar's order without restarting the extension host / interrupting live sessions.
Environment
- Claude Code VS Code extension (version TBD)
- VS Code version: TBD
- OS: macOS
