[BUG] Cowork and Code: No working IDE endpoint available - Desktop app cannot discover IDE plugin endpoint

What's Wrong?

The Claude desktop app's "Cowork and Code" session fails with:
"Couldn't start for Cowork and Code sessions. Error: No working IDE endpoint available."

The desktop app cannot discover the IDE plugin endpoint even though the plugin is running correctly. The CLI inside IntelliJ terminal connects to the plugin fine (port 60807, ESTABLISHED), but the desktop app uses a separate discovery mechanism that the plugin does not appear to populate.

What Should Happen?

The desktop app should detect the running IDE plugin endpoint and start the Cowork and Code session successfully.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Install Claude Code Beta plugin (0.1.14-beta) in IntelliJ IDEA 2026.2.2 on Windows 11
2. Open a project in IntelliJ
3. Open Claude desktop app (2.110.0)
4. Try to start a "Cowork and Code" session

Environment:

• Claude Desktop App: 2.110.0 (dfb2ba)
• Claude Code Beta Plugin: 0.1.14-beta
• IDE: IntelliJ IDEA 2026.2.2
• OS: Windows 11 Pro

Additional Information

The plugin MCP server is running and the CLI (launched from IntelliJ's built-in terminal)
connects to it successfully via CLAUDE_CODE_SSE_PORT=60807.
The issue is specifically with the desktop app's Cowork and Code discovery —
it does not detect the already-running plugin endpoint.

Workaround attempted: plugin reinstall, IntelliJ restart, multiple reboots — none resolved the issue.
