[FEATURE] VS Code Extension Parity

Problem Statement

Claude Code in Visual Studio Code should have feature parity at minimium with OpenAI's codex extension. Should be usable as CLI or as pure GUI for low knowledge users. Such a powerful model should have a UI that does it justice. That currently isn't the case, sadly.

Proposed Solution

Review claude-code UI, extension and integration and consult with users (such as on Discord). Then create and update tools so they maintain parity with competition or, even better, explore USP such as a desktop "vibe coding" GUI, more advanced extensions in VS Code and so on.
