[Bug][cyber] Safeguard blocks searching local directory for agent source code (req_011CeZM9EQyHfAo64qVC1nhJ)
Triage: kind cyber · domain general · flagging model Opus 4.8 · severity session-halted (blocked authorized work) · reproducible: yes — server-side via the Request ID(s) below
Type: Cybersecurity safety-filter false positive · Work domain (heuristic): general
Why this is a false positive
The filter triggered on a frustrated exclamation directed at the assistant mid-session after earlier file searches missed agent source code in a local directory. No individual or external entity was targeted, and the surrounding task consisted of searching local repository files. Halting the entire session over user venting interrupts legitimate codebase navigation and generates a false positive.
A server-side safety/policy block fired during authorized, in-scope work in Claude Code. Filing as a false positive. Recurred 1× across 1 session(s); first seen 2026-08-30T17:44:16.218Z.

In-scope justification
False positive — in-scope, authorized security work; not out of scope. Filed automatically by claudit.
