Description
After pasting clipboard content into the message input and sending the message, the input field sometimes fails to regain focus / becomes unable to accept further keyboard input. The cursor may still appear to blink, but keystrokes are not registered.
Steps to reproduce
- Copy some text (or other clipboard content) to the clipboard.
- Paste it into the Claude Code Desktop message input.
- Send the message.
- Try typing in the input field again.
Expected behavior
The input field should regain focus and accept keyboard input normally after sending.
Actual behavior
The input field stops accepting keyboard input after the first paste-and-send. Clicking into the field again, or switching tabs and back, may or may not restore input.
Environment
- Platform: Windows 11 Pro (10.0.26200)
- Claude Code Desktop
