Description

ToolSearch (both exact-name select: queries and fuzzy keyword queries) never surfaces the Datadog Security Findings MCP tools (get_datadog_security_findings_schema, analyze_datadog_security_findings, search_datadog_security_findings, mute_datadog_security_findings), even though other tools from the same plugin:datadog:mcp server (get_change_stories, list_datadog_skills, load_datadog_skill) resolve fine.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Confirm security toolset is enabled: ReadMcpResourceTool on datadog://mcp/toolsets shows enabled: true.
  2. Run /mcp → select plugin:datadog:mcp → reauth (returns "Authentication successful").
  3. Run /reload-plugins (full plugin/skill/MCP reload).
  4. Call ToolSearch with select:get_datadog_security_findings_schema,mute_datadog_security_findings,analyze_datadog_security_findings,search_datadog_security_findings.
  5. Also try fuzzy queries (e.g. "datadog security findings mute").

Expected

Tool schemas for the security-findings tools are returned, matching how other datadog:mcp tools (get_change_stories, list_datadog_skills) resolve normally.

Actual

ToolSearch returns "No matching deferred tools found" for every attempt, across three separate sessions (2026-09-11), with the exact same setup each time. Non-security tools from the identical MCP server resolve without issue in the same sessions.

Environment

  • Plugin: plugin:datadog:mcp
  • Reproduced across 3 independent Claude Code sessions on the same date
  • Auth and toolset-enablement steps confirmed via the platform's own diagnostic tools (ReadMcpResourceTool, /mcp reauth) before each attempt

Impact

Blocks any workflow requiring mute_datadog_security_findings or related security-findings tools — currently stuck on muting 5 Datadog SCA findings for a dependency-remediation task with no workaround other than manual UI action outside Claude Code.
