light-ansi/dark-ansi themes render the header/status bar as white-on-white, unreadable until selected

Environment:
- Claude Code version: 2.1.236
- Terminal: WezTerm 20240203-110809-5046fc22, color scheme
rose-pine-moon - OS: macOS (Darwin 23.6.0)
Steps to reproduce:
- Set
"theme": "light-ansi"(or"dark-ansi") via/theme. - Run Claude Code in a WezTerm pane using a non-default dark color scheme (
rose-pine-moon). - Observe the header/status bar area of the UI.
Actual behavior: The header/status bar renders as white text on a white background, effectively invisible. Selecting that text with the mouse reveals it (the selection highlight paints a colored background over it, and the white text becomes visible against that), confirming the text is there but has no usable background contrast.
Expected behavior: The header should render with readable contrast, consistent with the rest of the UI.
Additional notes:
- The rest of the UI (assistant text, Bash tool commands, tool output) renders correctly under both light-ansi and dark-ansi, only the header/status bar is affected.
- Switching to the plain
darktheme (non-ANSI, fixed true-color palette) fully resolves it, everything including the header renders correctly. - Reproduces identically both inside a Herdr-managed pane and in a plain WezTerm tab with no multiplexer involved, ruling out the terminal multiplexer as the cause.
- Reproduces with both light-ansi and dark-ansi (opposite light/dark polarity), suggesting the bug is in the -ansi rendering path itself rather than in either specific theme's color choices.
- Not yet tested against WezTerm's default/stock color scheme, only reproduced so far under rose-pine-moon, so it's confirmed multiplexer-independent but not yet confirmed terminal-color-scheme-independent.
