UX: permission prompt buttons are stacked vertically — easy to press the wrong one

Feedback

In the tool-permission prompt, the approve/deny choices are laid out one above the other (top and bottom). When responding quickly, it's easy to select the wrong one — I accidentally denied a legitimate file edit mid-task this way, and the agent had to stop and re-confirm what I actually wanted.

Suggestion

Place the two actions side by side (horizontally), so they read as distinct left/right choices rather than a vertical stack where a stray keypress or tap lands on the neighbor.

Environment

  • Claude Code on macOS (Darwin 25.5.0)
  • Occurred during a normal interactive session while approving file edits

Filed by Claude Code on the user's behalf at their request.
