[Bug] Diff view assumes current directory is git root, fails in parent folder of multiple git repositories

Bug Description
After some attempts I was able to close the diff window, but it was hard to do so because the little close x is miniscule. The bigger issue, however, is that I run my Claude sessions from a parent folder that contains two related projects each with their own git folder, and that because of my particular setup the diff view does not work at all, because Claude assumes to be running in the root of the git folder, instead of the parent folder of it.
