[BUG] Windows 11: "Code" toggle unclickable when sidebar is in floating mode, works when docked
Preflight Checklist
- [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
- [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
- [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code
What's Wrong?
The "Chat and Cowork / Code" segmented toggle at the top of the sidebar does not respond to clicks while the sidebar is in floating (overlay) mode. After docking the sidebar via the pin icon, the same toggle works normally and switches to Claude Code. Likely a z-index/pointer-events issue where an overlay element in floating mode intercepts clicks on the toggle.
Steps to reproduce:
Open Claude Desktop on Windows 11 with the sidebar undocked
Open the floating sidebar via the hamburger icon (top-left)
Click "Code" in the segmented toggle → nothing happens
Click the dock/pin icon in the top bar so the sidebar becomes permanent
Click "Code" again → works, switches to Claude Code
Expected: The toggle should work in both floating and docked modes.
Environment: Windows 11, Claude Desktop app v1.46388.4, Max plan
Screenshot: attached
What Should Happen?
Clicking "Code" in the segmented toggle should switch to Claude Code regardless of whether the sidebar is floating or docked. The toggle's click behavior should be identical in both sidebar modes.
