Summary

FleetView (claude agents) can collapse individual rows and groups, but there is no way to collapse the list as a whole into a compact bar while keeping it live. On a laptop screen a fleet of any size crowds out everything else, and the only alternatives are leaving the view entirely or scrolling.

What exists today

  • toggleCollapse — per row / per group
  • ctrl+o — expand a row
  • collapsed state is already persisted (it round-trips through storage alongside the draft query, and capExpanded tracks expansion caps)

So the collapse machinery and its persistence are already in place. What is missing is a single control that applies them to the whole panel.

Request

A minimize affordance on the FleetView header that collapses the list to a one-line summary — e.g. 4 running · 1 waiting · 2 idle — and restores on click or keypress. Persist the collapsed/expanded state the same way per-row collapse is already persisted.

If it lands as a keybinding rather than a click target, it should be a registered action (agents:toggleMinimize) admitted through the Agents context gate, which today accepts only agents:switchView, agents:togglePin, and chat:externalEditor.

Environment

  • Claude Code 2.1.263, macOS 25.6.0 (darwin), desktop app
