C:/Program Files/Git/ slash-command picker shows no dropdown (startup hook logs "0 baseline skill(s) synced")
Environment: Claude Code / Cowork app, Windows 11
Symptom: Typing / in the chat input no longer shows the autocomplete dropdown listing available skills/commands. It used to appear reliably.
Steps to reproduce:
- Open a brand-new chat (not a resumed session)
- Type
/ - No dropdown appears
Already ruled out: Not a stale-session issue — reproduced in a fresh chat immediately after a full app restart.
Diagnostic clue: The SessionStart hook logs MCPmarket sync: 0 baseline skill(s) synced at the start of every session. This looks like the sync step that's supposed to populate the picker's backing list, returning empty.
Not the cause: Skills themselves are still enabled and callable server-side — confirmed directly via the skill registry, which returned a full list of enabled skills. So this appears to be a picker/sync display bug, not skills actually being lost or disabled.
Expected: / should show the full skill/command list at any point in a conversation, as it did previously.
