Claude-in-Chrome extension shows disconnected on macOS Claude app despite both reporting connected

Description

Claude-in-Chrome extension shows as "not connected" in the Claude app on macOS, despite both the Claude app and Chrome extension reporting as connected on the extension's side.

Error Message

cp__claude-in-chrome__* (the Chrome extension) still shows as not connected on my end, unchanged despite the app and extension both reporting connected on your side.

Environment

• macOS (latest OS on MacBook Pro)
• Claude app: Latest version
• Chrome extension: Claude-in-Chrome (latest)

Expected Behavior

The Claude app should recognize the Chrome extension as connected when the extension reports connection status as connected.

Actual Behavior

Connection status remains "not connected" in the Claude app despite:

• Chrome extension showing as connected
• Claude app showing as connected (on the extension side)

Steps to Reproduce

1. Install Claude-in-Chrome extension in Chrome
2. Open Claude app on macOS
3. Check connection status in Claude app
4. Observe that status shows "not connected" despite extension reporting connected status
