/feedback review screen defaults "Send transcript: yes" with no visible control to change it
/feedback shows a "Send transcript: yes" line when reviewing a queued draft, but the
only interactive options presented are send / later / discard — there's no visible way
to toggle the transcript setting to "no" before sending.
Repro:
- Have Claude queue a feedback draft during a session
- Run
/feedback - Open the queued draft to review it
- Observe the "Send transcript: yes" line alongside only send/later/discard actions —
no field/toggle to change it
Why this matters: the transcript can contain confidential/internal information
(proprietary code, internal tickets, company data) from the working session. Defaulting
to "yes" with no discoverable opt-out means a user who wants to send feedback text only,
without their session transcript, has no way to do so short of discarding the whole
draft — which defeats the purpose of the feedback mechanism.
Also observed: asking Claude Code itself to research how to toggle this via
docs.claude.com (commands/troubleshooting/data-usage pages) did not turn up a reliable,
verifiable answer, suggesting this isn't clearly documented either.
