What's Wrong?

Bug Report: Usage limit reset time incorrectly extended from 4 hours to
17 hours

Expected behavior:
Usage limits should reset after 4 hours as they have been doing
consistently.

Actual behavior:
After being stopped for reaching usage limit, the reset time changed from
the normal 4-hour window to showing "resets at 6am tomorrow" -
approximately 17 hours instead of 4.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Used Claude Code normally until hitting usage limit
  2. Was stopped with message showing reset at 11am (4 hours later)
  3. After typing first command in new session, reset time changed to "6am

tomorrow" (17 hours)

Impact:
This significantly impacts productivity as it extends the wait time from
4 hours to 17 hours without explanation.

Additional context:
This appears to be a timing/calculation bug in the usage limit system
rather than expected behavior based on usage patterns.

What Should Happen?

I was waiting for my 11am refresh of usage typed my first command and this came up: Approaching usage limit · resets at 6am
