Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

Copying text out of the Claude Code terminal window silently drops sections. When I drag-select a long assistant response in the terminal (VS Code integrated terminal, macOS) and paste it into an email or document, multiple chunks of the text are missing — with no indication anything was lost. Started roughly 5–6 days ago, likely after an update; older sessions copied fine. Reproduces on long rendered responses, especially ones taller than the visible window that I scroll through while selecting. This is silent data loss for anyone whose output leaves via clipboard — I only caught it by proofreading sent emails. Workaround I'm using: having Claude write everything paste-bound to a text file and copying

What Should Happen?

Should be able to copy text while scrolling in claude code terminal window and paste it without sections missing
