[Bug] Persistent API stalling and "Waiting for API Response" errors

This has been happening to me for weeks now. Very frustrating. It means you cannot leave it running for more than a few minutes, otherwise you'll come back to an error and little to no progress has been made

Dont know if it helps, i think i made claude diagnose it itself, after
having to tell it to continue around 50 times. The problem was the remote
control feature, the one that lets you talk to claude code on the mac/pc
from the iphone/android app (mac+iphone combo for me). Apparently when
remote control is enabled, traffic goes through some proxy or something.
TBH I didnt even care too much for the exact reason. Turned remote control
off and problem solved. Ive been wanting to turn it back on again since i
assumed bugs should be fixed by now, but i havent bothered, so i do not
know if this is still an issue.
