[Bug] Claude.ai connectors unavailable in background/detached Claude Code sessions
Bug Description
Summary: claude.ai connectors (e.g. Zoom, Canva, Microsoft 365) are not accessible from background/detached Claude Code sessions, with no documented setting to enable them.
Details: Connectors configured at claude.ai/customize/connectors load fine in interactive Claude Code sessions once connected, but tools like mcp__claude_ai_Zoom_for_Claude__* are completely unreachable from background job sessions (spawned via the Task/Agent tool, or run detached) — ToolSearch finds no match at all, not even as a deferred tool. This is inconsistent with the Chrome extension connector, which does work correctly in background sessions. Disconnecting/reconnecting the connector in Settings doesn't help, and even opening a brand-new interactive session was required to pick up a reconnect — existing sessions (interactive or background) didn't refresh their connector registry mid-session.
Impact: Any automated/scheduled workflow that depends on a claude.ai connector (e.g. pulling Zoom meeting transcripts on a schedule) cannot run unattended — it requires a human-driven interactive session every time.
Ask: Either document this as an intentional limitation, or provide a way to extend claude.ai connector access to background/headless sessions.
