Feature request / gap report

In the Claude Code terminal CLI, the model's task list (TodoWrite) renders as a persistent inline checklist that updates as work progresses. This is extremely useful to follow long multi-step agentic work.

In the desktop app on Windows (tested on Windows 11):

  1. There is no equivalent persistent task list view in the GUI.
  2. Checking the session's available tools, the TodoWrite tool is not exposed at all in desktop app sessions — so the model cannot even produce the checklist, and users lose task-progress visibility entirely compared to the CLI.

Request: expose the TodoWrite tool in desktop app sessions and render the task list as a persistent UI element (e.g. pinned panel or status area), matching the CLI experience. For users running long agentic sessions, this visibility is very important.

Environment: Claude Code desktop app, Windows 11 Pro 10.0.26200.
