[BUG] /usage shows 47% weekly used in 3 hours of Opus. Max plan.. should be 40 hours per week
Preflight Checklist
- [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
- [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
- [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code
What's Wrong?
I am seeing nearly a 10x reduction in usage of Opus. No clue why. I seldom would see the "nearing limits" message the last several weeks since the limits rolled out. Today.. within 3 hours or so I saw 47% usage of Opus, 13% of total weekly all models. What? In 3 hours? Bad enough 47% opus usage.. for very short amount of work, but 13% of my total model usage too? What happens if that hits 100%? I can no longer use CC until the next week? For $200 a month that is unacceptable. Hopefully this was just a very bad bug that got out and will be resolved VERY soon with a rollback of usage.
What Should Happen?
Limits should be back to what they were and my usage should be set to 0% for the inconvenience of this serious bug that has caused 1000s to quite their subscriptions. This is a potential company killer if Anthropic doesn't figure out how to communicate changes and admit to bugs and make it right.
