Preflight Checklist

What's Wrong?

Environment: Windows 11 Pro, Claude Code desktop app

Steps to reproduce:

1. Click "+ New" to start a new session
2. Session starts and runs — chat activity visible
3. Session does not appear in the left sidebar/tree diagram
4. Restarting the app does not fix it

Expected: New session should appear in the sidebar tree list.
Actual: Session runs but is missing from the tree.

What Should Happen?

Expected: New session should appear in the sidebar tree list.
