What's Wrong?
Title: Windows desktop app crashes reproducibly when the in-app browser pane opens dash.cloudflare.com, and cannot be relaunched afterwards (reinstall required)
Environment:
- Claude Desktop app on Windows 10 Home 22H2 (build 19045), 64-bit
- Claude Code session inside the desktop app, model: Claude Fable 5
- Using the in-app Browser pane (preview/browser tools)
Steps to reproduce:
- In a Claude Code session, have the assistant open the in-app Browser pane
and navigate it to https://dash.cloudflare.com (Cloudflare login page).
- The page loads (page text extraction works), then within moments the entire
desktop app crashes/quits.
- After the crash, the app cannot be started again: clicking the Claude icon
shows a Windows error saying the application cannot be opened/run.
- The only fix is a full reinstall of the desktop app.
Reproducibility: 2 out of 2 attempts, same site (dash.cloudflare.com).
Other sites in the same pane (example.com, local router admin pages) did not
crash the app. Both crashes required reinstalling the app to make it launch
again — this post-crash "cannot be opened" state suggests a corrupted app/user
data file rather than a transient crash.
Impact: total loss of the app between crashes; workflow had to continue after
reinstall. Happy to provide logs if you tell me which files to attach
(%LOCALAPPDATA%\Claude / AnthropicClaude logs?).
