Preflight Checklist

  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

When using the TodoWrite tool to create long task lists, the terminal interface becomes glitchy and prevents normal scrolling functionality, making it difficult to review previous conversation history.

This significantly impacts usability when working on complex multi-step tasks that require task tracking, as users lose the ability to scroll through conversation history.

Workarounds:

  • Keep task lists shorter or complete/clear tasks more frequently to avoid the issue.
  • Ask Claude to track long task lists directly from CLAUDE.md and not show them in the terminal.

What Should Happen?

Terminal should allow normal scrolling regardless of task list length displayed in the UI.
