Preflight Checklist
- [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
- [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
- [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code
What's Wrong?
I am in bypass mode and having claude search the internet and it's asking me literally every 2 seconds to approve what it's doing - even to just scroll on the page. I tried looking for hooks/configuration issues and couldn't find anything
What Should Happen?
Claude should not be asking me for permissions to simply scroll on a web page, I shouldn't be getting any permissions messages
Error Messages/Logs
Steps to Reproduce
- Open Claude Code desktop app on Windows
- Enable "Allow bypass permissions mode" in settings
- Click "Allow every time" when a permission prompt appears
- Attempt any tool call (e.g., Read, Bash, Glob, or browser tool)
- Permission prompts re-appear every 3 seconds regardless of "Allow every time" selection
Expected: Tool executes without prompts (bypass mode is on)
Actual: Permission prompts loop repeatedly every ~3 seconds
