Problem Statement
Currently, usage limits (session %, weekly %, usage credits) are only visible in Settings → Usage, which requires several clicks to check. With session limits being hit frequently on Pro, users need to check this repeatedly.
Proposed Solution
Add a persistent usage indicator on the main screen — e.g. a small percentage badge in the sidebar or title bar, optionally expandable to show session/weekly bars. A system tray tooltip on Windows would also work.
Environment: Claude Desktop (Cowork), Windows, Pro plan.

I'd like to add that this need applies to the regular Claude Desktop app (claude.ai desktop client), not just Claude Code specifically. I use Claude Desktop for everyday conversations/work, and I currently have to go through Settings → Usage every time I want to check my session/weekly limit. A persistent indicator (even a simple percentage badge) would save a lot of repeated clicks for non-Claude-Code users too.
It was showing on claude windows system tray the percentage (for my free plan) until the last update... now it´s gone gain...

+1, with a concrete use case.
I run a small search firm and the desktop app is open most of my working day, usually with long agentic sessions. The current badge only shows up once I'm already near the limit, which is exactly the point where it's too late to change how I'm working.
What I want is the battery indicator model: a small always-on number in the sidebar or title bar that I can glance at, so I can decide whether to kick off a long task now or wait for the reset. Not a warning that fires at the end, a gauge I can read continuously.
Minimum viable version:
Today, checking means navigating to Settings > Usage every single time. That friction is enough that I just don't check until the warning appears.
