Bug: Pressing Enter in the prompt composer inserts a newline instead of sending the message. Shift+Enter behaves identically, so Enter appears to be received as "insert newline". Happens repeatedly across sessions, only in Claude — the keyboard works normally in every other app. Restarting sometimes clears it temporarily.
Environment:
- Desktop app 1.22209.3.0 (Microsoft Store install), Claude Code 2.1.215
- Windows 11 Home, build 10.0.26200
- No custom keybindings.json, no vim/editor-mode overrides, default settings
- Already on a version that includes the 2.1.208 / 2.1.212 Windows keyboard fixes
Workaround: Ctrl+Enter submits.
