Regression: 'Last activity' date-range filter gone from desktop Sessions sidebar (overnight, no app update)

What's missing / regression

The "Last activity" date-range filter in the desktop Sessions sidebar (opened via the
tune/sliders icon next to the "Sessions" header) disappeared overnight between 2026-07-17 and
2026-07-18, with no app update installed. I'm still on build 1.22209.0 (77c938,
2026-07-16) — the same build that had the filter yesterday.

Because there was no version change, this looks like a server-side / remote-config change
rather than something shipped in an app release, which suggests it may be an unintended
regression or a staged A/B rollout.

Previously the filter let me restrict the session list by recency (e.g. 1D / 7D / 30D). The
current filter menu only exposes Status, Project, Environment, and Group by — the date-range
presets are gone.

Why it matters

On a busy machine the Sessions list grows quickly. "Show me only the last day / week" was the
fastest way back to what I was recently working on, without relying on scroll position or sort
order alone.

Parity note

The equivalent control still exists in the Claude.ai app's "Recents" filter, which offers:

• Type
• Status
• Last activity → 1d / 3d / 7d / 30d / All
• Group by

Restoring the same "Last activity" option to Claude Code's Sessions filter would bring the two
back to parity.

Requested behavior

Restore a "Last activity" (or "Created") date-range option to the Sessions sidebar filter with
1d / 7d / 30d / All presets, matching the Claude.ai Recents menu.

(opened 2026-07-16). Another desktop sidebar control reported missing in the same time window;
may share a root cause.
