[BUG] Scheduled task: clicking in no longer shows the latest run thread — must re-select each day's run
Open 💬 0 comments Opened Jul 15, 2026 by new-mantra
Description
Previously, clicking into a Scheduled Task in the Claude desktop app sidebar would open directly to the most recent run/thread. Now, clicking in requires manually selecting the specific day/run each time to see its output — the view no longer defaults to showing the latest run.
Steps to reproduce
- Open the Claude desktop app.
- Go to Scheduled (sidebar).
- Click into any recurring scheduled task (e.g. one running daily/weekdays).
- Observe: the most recent run is not shown by default; a specific day/run must be selected manually to view its thread.
Expected behavior
Clicking into a scheduled task should open directly to its most recent completed run, as it previously did.
Environment
- Claude desktop app (Cowork / Scheduled Tasks)
- macOS
- Observed July 2026
Additional context
This is a regression in UX/navigation for the Scheduled Tasks feature, separate from known issues about sidebar visibility or execution failures.
