[Feature Request] Implement cache-aware CLAUDE.md editing to prevent mid-session invalidation

Bug Description
I find myself maintaining a machinery of making edits to CLAUDE.staging.md instead of CLAUDE.md (and then cp'ing that at start of session) to specifically avoid busting the cache mid-session. Surely this can be managed better, right?
