[Bug] Claude Code wakes up to 69% session limit usage immediately after a long break

Bug Description
Claude had hit the 100% session limit the night before and went rigid. This morning I asked a single question that was a follow up of the previous conversation and after a 2-paragraph answer with about 9s of thinking and no tool use I checked and Claude's 5h session limit was at 69%. I compacted and that got another 3% (fine, I don't mind) but when Claude wakes up to about 70% that's just too much to claim it is normal behaviour or "large context". I suspect this might actually be a bug.
