[BUG] Windows 11: Claude fails to install after 5 minutes

What's Wrong?

When attempting to update/install/setup Claude I continually get a time-out message: "Installation failed: AddPackage failed: AddPackage timed out after 5 minutes". Hence, unable to use Claude with my subscription.

Windows 11: 2026-06 Preview Update (KB5095093) (26200.8737) successfully installed on 6/23/2026; previously a similar issue was reported on Windows 11 update 26200.8039 which was successfully installed 3.25.2026.
Usage issue: all my usage of Claude with the app is not available and currently "lost".

Steps to Reproduce

I've tried reinstalling Claude multiple times including a most recent download and update attempt with the above log.

Not sure but I was up-to-date about 7-10 days ago.

Additional Information

I can use Claude within a browser (Chrome) but unable with the app. The app doesn't respond when selecting it, but it is still visible.
